Humanity vs God

Treat this as my disclaimer to all those who might get offended when they read unusual things about the almighty, I want all of those people to understand that I am in no way intending to offend their trust, faith or belief in whatever they believe in.

According to the second definition of the word 'Humanity' as provided by Google Search Engine is, "the quality of being humane", but how about a little introspection and later, the realization of the sour fact that we don't really have that in us, not anymore.

A common practice among India is to take something sweet with you whenever you go to a temple so that you can give it to your fellow mates after your ritual is done. As you enter the divine place where the holy soules reside, you may find some actual soules inside some very real looking people sitting right in front of the entrance of the temple and they are the beggars, then as you go further in, you may observe that there are a lot of incense sticks lit up almost in every corner of that place, also you may see that there are some rather round-shaped people walking in saffron colors, they are the pandits, the brahmins who pretend to be educated but still they don't want to work for a living, rather they chose to be a priest for life out of their faith in God.

I can go on and on about these things but I rather would just come to the point right away. I don't want to argue about whether such a power exists or not, I take absolutely no interest in knowing about its existence or capabilities, all I am saying is that even if such a divine power exists in our world, then it wouldn't want to be treated the way we keep treating them. To me, as a person, humanity is much closer to that power, if at all that exists rather than going to a temple with a thousand flowers of different colors and 2 KGs of sweet. I'd rather be giving those sweets to someone who is hungry and the flowers to some beggar asking him/her to sell it for earning something for their own good.

Even if God does exist, one thing that I am pretty sure about it that that divine power, that being, would never ever want us to be going to temples and putting clothes onto stones and providing food and ornaments to them. The God would want us to be helping each other and avoiding  being selfish, and helping those we can. Maybe that would have been the intention of the creator of this world, but our species screwed it all up.

If you believe in god, that’s good, in fact, it's great to believe in something. But it's not good when you become so obsessed with your beliefs that you forget some important aspects of life. If you want to believe in god, do it. But don’t compromise the human in you in doing so. I can go on and on about this stuff but less spoken is better understood!
